"As I turn 50, I can’t help but reflect on God’s mercies and the remarkable people who have shaped my story. No matter what life has brought, a few things have always remained constant—God’s faithfulness, a family I can rely on, and great friends who always look out for me."

My Journey

Roots and Family

I grew up surrounded by love, joy, and unwavering support from my parents and a close-knit extended family—all of whom instilled values of love, trust, and integrity that continue to shape who I am today.”

My parents laid the foundation for everything I hold dear. Their love story and devotion to family gave me a blueprint for what it means to love deeply, live with intention, and show up fully.

Family remains my foundation. Marrying Niyi and raising Anu and Ayo has been an incredible journey of love and building a life together. Niyi is not just my husband but my partner, encourager, and unwavering teammate through every season. Our home is happy—full of love, togetherness, and support. Beyond our immediate family, I’m blessed to have a strong, supportive village—siblings by blood and marriage and a loving extended family network.

My two wonderful sisters, Feyi and Tope, and my amazing brother, Ayodeji, have been a constant source of support, laughter, and wisdom—each in their unique way. They’ve shown up with love and advice through every high and low. I am grateful for our bond and how it continually enriches my life.

“We are one big, loving bunch—always celebrating, always supporting, always showing up for one another.

Friends: A Circle of Love and Support

“I have been truly blessed with friends—friends I love dearly and who love me just as much. Some of these amazing people have been by my side since high school, others I met in college, and some I connected with in adulthood.

No matter when or how we met, one thing has always been true—we support each other through every stage of life. My friends are more than just companions; they are a part of my journey, sharing in both the challenges and the celebrations. I cherish each of them and am grateful for the unwavering bond we share.”

Service and Strength

“Serving in the military has been one of the most challenging and rewarding parts of my life—a journey marked by discipline, sacrifice, and purpose. From my early days as a Private to achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, every challenge and victory has shaped me into the leader I am today.

Throughout this journey, God has continually shown Himself, guiding me through two deployments to Iraq and countless moments of growth and perseverance. I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of my family, who stood by me through every step.
While I’ve accomplished much, the journey is far from over. I look forward to seeing what else God has in store, trusting that His plan will continue to unfold in ways beyond my imagination.”

My Work and Passion

“Helping others has always been at the heart of what I do. I work to support people and create positive environments where they can thrive. I’m also involved in community work, supporting individuals facing hunger and homelessness. Both roles give me the opportunity to make a difference—whether at work or in the community.”

Looking Ahead

“As I step into this next chapter, I do so with excitement and gratitude. Thank you for being part of my journey—here’s to the next chapter filled with love, faith, and endless joy!”
